We were pleased to welcome activist and legal analyst Nancy Lockhart to the program. Nancy has been involved in efforts on the behalf of political prisoner Jamil Al-Amin formerly known as H Rap Brown. We will give you the latest update with his status and Nancy will share with us how she came to know him. She will also share information on a case she is currently working on behalf of a family in Georgia where a young Black man, Damien Wicks was convicted of a crime with no evidence and sentenced by a judge who made inappropriate comments to 40 years in prison.
We will also share updates on upcoming events on the behalf of political prisoners.
Tonight we will be discussing a piece written by Zak Brown days after the rebellions in Ferguson kicked off and the need to create a clandestine People's Army to combat police murdering members of the community and allowed to get away with those murders.

This weekend marks the 43rd anniversary of the historic Attica Prison Rebellion and tonight will share our thoughts and reports on the historic event when prisoners in New Yorks Attica prison of all ethnicities and religions stood together to protest the inhumane conditions they were forced to endure.
We will also share a few updates on related political prisoner and other news.
Tonight we will welcome human rights activist Efia Nwangaza and Jihad Abdul-Mumit.
Jihad Abdul-Mumit, a former political prisoner, is the National Chairperson of The Jericho Movement, which filed a complaint about political prisoners in the United States with the Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination at the United Nations. The Jericho Movement identified nineteen former members of the Black Panthers remain in prison following unfair trials who were targeted by the FBI's illegal counter-intelligence program which worked with law enforcement agencies across the country and police departments to assassinate, discredit and/or frame members of the Black Panther Party for Self Defense.
The Jericho Movement also sponsored the trip of Efia Nwangaza who submitted a report to the UN Committee on behalf of the Malcolm X Center for Self-Determination.
Demonstrators have restarted their protests in Ferguson, Missouri in connection to the murder of Michael Brown by Ferguson cop Darren Wilson. Some of those demonstration announced that this is the beginning of a new human rights revolution in the United States.
Rosa Clemente, an activist and former Green Party VP candidate will speak to us about the police terrorism she and others suffered while protesting in Ferguson, Missouri on August 20,2014. She told Ebony online that "officers swooped in on us from all directions and locked us down. The threats, their eyes, postures, weaponry said it all: "We have the power, we don’t care how many cameras there are, we can do what we want and we will never have to be held accountable."
Russell Shoatz III speaks with us tonight about his father Russell Maroon Shoatz who is a political prisoner currently being tortured in prison after being convicted in a Kangaroo trial for killing a Philadelphia police officer in 1970. The Philadelphia police was notorious for its abuse of Black people in the city and worked directly directly with the FBI in its illegal COINTELPRO activities to frame, murder and otherwise eliminated members of Black liberation groups and others.
Russell Maroon Shoatz was a community activist, a founding member of the Black Unity Council, a former member of the Black Panther Party and soldier in the Black Liberation Army. He has been held in solitary confinement since 1991 depsite a clean prison record and the United Nations designation that solitary confinement is a from of toruture.
