Let go our girls USA
Tonight we want to reissue the demand that the United States Government free our political prisoners and to abolish its practice of enslaving human beings for profit. The United States military has sent troops to the jungles of Africa in an attempt to free 270 kidnapped Nigerian girls while it kidnaps black men, women and children from their communities, incarcerates them in prison labor camps where they are subjected to beatings, rape, torture and murder.
Our special guest speaker is Andrea James who works with Families for Justice as Healing.. She will be discussing the mass incarceration of women and female political prisoners...She has a big event coming up on June 21st. called "Free Her Rally!"
We also want to remind you that the 2nd Annual National Week of Action Against Incarcerating Youth kicks off May 19-25.

Sekou Kambui w/ Jennifer Murnan
Sekou Cinque T.M. Kambui (s/n William J. Turk) is a New Afrikan political prisoner currently serving two consecutive life sentences for crimes he did not commit. Born on September 6, 1948, in Gasden,Alabama, Kambui is of Afrikan/Cherokee heritage.
Throughout the 1960s, Sekou participated in the Civil Rights movement, mobilizing youth in Alabama and providing security for meetings of the Southern Christian Leadership Council (SCLC), Congress for Racial Equality (CORE) and the Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee (SNCC).
In 1967, Sekou became affiliated with the Black Panther Party for Self-Defense while living in Chicago and New York.
Before returning home to Birmingham, Alabama, he became a member of the Republic of New Afrika. Once in Birmingham, he coordinated community organization activity with the Alabama Black Liberation Front, the Inmates for Action (IFA) and the Afro-Amerikan People’s Party in the mid-70s. - Anarchist Black Cross Federation
Jennifer Murnan has been corresponding with Sekou Kambui for over a year and is currently supporting efforts to obtain parole from his long and unjust incarceration through a petition published on change.org and conducting online fundraising for legal fees.
Jennifer is a social and environmental activist and a radical feminist. She is a mother of three, has been a small scale CSA and market gardener, professional elder health care provider and hospice care worker, and an occasional artist and poet.
In addition to her work as an individual on behalf of Sekou, Jennifer is part of a women’s collective which produces the radio program WomynAir for community radio in her locale, is a member of Deep Green Resistance, a radical social and environmental justice organization, participates in a program to end racism with elementary and middle school students and contributes to local efforts organizing for community rights and against mass incarceration.
